CMU to battle Zips with Senior Day and Western Michigan on the horizon Sunday

By: Harrison LaLone

MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. - Central Michigan Soccer hosts Akron Thursday (Oct. 15, 7 p.m. ET) for the first of back-to-back home matches, followed by arch-rival Western Michigan Sunday (Oct. 18, 1 p.m. ET) for Senior Day.

FACULTY/STAFF APPRECIATION NIGHT – Akron (Oct. 15)
Meet those making a difference in the lives of the Chippewas as CMU players invite University staff and faculty to be recognized in the match against the Zips.

All season long, there will be a pregame high five tunnel as the Chippewas take the field before kickoff, mini CMU Soccer ball tosses from players during introductions, postgame penalty kicks on the field for kids ages 12 and under, and all Sunday games will feature a Kids Zone with a bounce house, coloring station and yard games. 2026 CMU Soccer schedule posters will also be available at all home matches while supplies last.
