Anna Farrar Marks First Career Hat Trick at Cincinnati

Chippewas fall, 14-6, to the Bearcats; freshman Bradley scores in third straight game
CINCINNATI – Junior Anna Farrar (Milton, Ga. / Cambridge) recorded her first career hat trick in Central Michigan Lacrosse's 14-6 loss at Cincinnati on Friday.

Farrar scored the second and third Chippewa goals, both in the second quarter, assisted by freshman Mia Bradley (Orchard Park, N.Y. / Orchard Park) and sophomore Caye Kalbacher (Austin, Texas / Stephen F. Austin), respectively. Farrar's third goal was tallied late in the contest.

Isabella Bainbridge (Grand Rapids, Mich. / Forest Hills Northern) opened the scoring for the Chippewas with an eight-meter attempt early in the second quarter after the CMU defense held the Bearcats to a 1-0 first quarter lead.

Bradley and Kalbacher each found the back of the cage in the second half, both via free-position opportunities, leading to a three-of-six team performance in the category.

The Chippewa defense forced collected a season-high 16 turnovers from the Bearcats, one more than CMU's three previous games combined.

Leila Kahler (Spring Lake, Mich. / Spring Lake) tallied five saves in her second 60-minute effort of the season.
