Zanatta Leads Women's Golf in Second Round at Rio Verde

RIO VERDE, Ariz. – Ella Zanatta shot a 2-over par 74 on Saturday to lead the Central Michigan women's golf team during the second round of the Rio Verde Collegiate at Rio Verde Country Club.
Zanatta began the day tied for 43rd in the 95-player field and moved up 15 spots and into a tie for 28th. She stands at 7-over 151 for the tournament.
The third and final round is scheduled for Sunday with a 10:30 a.m. (ET) shotgun start.
The Chippewas posted their second consecutive 309 team score on Saturday and are tied for 16th with a 618 total in the 19-team field.
Also for the Chippewas on Saturday, Zoe Dull shot 77, Rachel Niskanen carded a 78, Lexi Schulman posted an 80, and Brooke Morris shot 82.
Niskanen is tied for 48th with a 153 total, Schulman is tied for 62nd at 156, Dull (158) is tied for 69th, and Morris (165) is tied for 90th.
Isabel Brozena of Xavier shot an even-par 72 and stands at 3-under (141) for a one-shot lead over Bowling Green's Addison Kartusch.
Xavier posted a 293 team score on Saturday and holds first place with a 585 total, six shots ahead of second-place Bradley.
