Chippewas fall, 15-6, in program’s first game in New England; CMU visits MAC foe Massachusetts Thursday
LOWELL, Mass. – Junior Anna Farrar (Milton, Ga. / Cabridge) of Central Michigan Lacrosse recorded her third hat trick of 2026 in a 15-6 loss at UMass Lowell Tuesday night.
Â
Farrar scored four of the Chippewas' six goals in the nonleague matchup, assisting one of two Caye Kalbacher (Austin, Texas / Stephen F. Austin) goals for the first five-point game of her career.
Â
The program's first appearance in New England continues Thursday for a 1 p.m. first draw against Massachusetts, the Mid-American Conference newcomer for 2026.
Â
Ava Regitz (Marietta, Ga. / Blessed Trinity) again dominated the draw circle with six controls, double that of the next-best individual performance by either team. CMU lost the overall battle at midfield, 12-11.
Â
Leila Kahler (Spring Lake, Mich. / Spring Lake) tallied nine saves in the contest, marking four straight games with at least eight stops in cage.
Â
Central Michigan continues to fight the turnover bug with 19 giveaways to just 10 on the River Hawks' end—just four days after a season-high 25 turnovers undid what was almost a statement victory in MAC play against defending regular season champion, Robert Morris (March 14; L, 8-7).
