Zanatta finishes T6 at Dolores Black Falcon Invitational

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – Central Michigan's Ella Zanatta closed with a 9-over 81 on Sunday to finish tied for sixth in the 58-player at the Dolores Black Falcon Invitational at Stone Ridge Golf Club.
Zanatta, the defending champion who opened the tournament with a 1-over 73 on Saturday, finished with a 10-over 154 total. She came in eight shots behind medalist Kylee Heidemann of Dayton, who closed with an even-par 72 for a 2-over 146 for a six-shot victory.
It marked Zanatta's third top-10 finish of the Chippewas' nine stroke-play events in the 2025-26 season after her T7 at the Notre Dame Fighting Irish Classic in September and her T2 at the WMU Bronco Fall Classic in October.
Zanatta led CMU to a 322 team score on Sunday. The Chippewas' 322 tied for the third best of the day in the nine-team field. CMU finished seventh with a 639 total, just five shots behind fourth-place Detroit Mercy.
Also for CMU on Sunday, Rachel Niskanen shot 79, Zoe Dull and Brooke Morris shot matching 81s, Lauren Davis carded an 82, Alexis McMurray posted an 83, Lexi Schulman came in at 85, and Evanka Shah shot 88.
Niskanen finished T20 with a 158 total, McMurray (160) tied for 24th, Davis (162) finished T29, Dull (163) finished T32, Morris (166) finished T39, Schulman (168) finished T45, and Shah (176) finished T54.
Host Bowling Green closed with a 316 team score for a 613 total and a 10-shot victory over Dayton. Dayton shot 310 on Sunday and was the only team in the field to improve on its first-round score.
The Chippewas next go to the Mid-American Conference Championship on April 24-26 at Firestone Country Club in Akron, Ohio.
