Mora Rulli Earns Co-Offensive MAC Player of the Week Award

Rulli netted 11 points in home opening weekend from five goals and one assist.
CLEVELAND – Sophomore forward Mora Rulli earned her first Mid-American Player of the Week honor Tuesday. The NFHCA D1 Watchlist honoree logged 11 points in a home opening weekend sweep at Cristy Freese Field.
Rulli led the Chippewas' offense in the team's most explosive performance since 1997 in a 9-0 win over Mercyhurst Friday, Sept. 11. Rulli logged four goals and one assist in the performance, the most goals by an individual in a single game since at least 2018. She is now tied for the lead in goals in a single game this season across NCAA DI field hockey.
The young forward logged an assist on the first goal of Friday's game before netting the Chippewas next two goals, each coming in the second quarter. Rulli logged her third and fourth goals of the game just over a minute apart to open the fourth quarter, creating a 6-0 Chippewa lead.
Her final goal of the weekend came 44 seconds into the second half of the 3-2 win over Saint Louis, Sunday. Three of Rulli's five goals of the weekend came within two minutes of the start of a quarter.
Rulli leads the Chippewas in both goals (6) and assists (3) for a total of 15 points. She ranks second in the conference in total goals, third in points and ninth in assists.
