Johnstone brings a wealth of coaching experience, including a combined six years as a head coach at Husson University, Frostburg State and Kenyon College. In 2012, she was named North Atlantic Conference Coach of the Year for leading the Husson Eagles to a regular season title.
Johnstone also served for a total of six years as an assistant at James Madison, Brown and Cornell.
Johnstone was a decorated player during her collegiate career at the University of Maine. She was a two-time NFCHA Second Team Northeast Regional All-American (2001, 2002) and America East First Team All-Conference honoree (2001, 2002).
Johnstone holds a bachelor’s of science degree in secondary education with a concentration of mathematics from Maine. She is currently pursuing a master’s of administration with a concentration in leadership at Central Michigan.
