Jill Dixon joined the Central Michigan field hockey coaching staff as an assistant in May, 2022.
Dixon served from 2018-21 as the head coach at The College of Wooster, an NCAA Division III institution in Wooster, Ohio. She led the program to immediate success with a 15-6 record and a berth in the North Coast Athletic Conference Tournament championship game in her first season. The 15 wins were the most by a Wooster team since 2010.
Dixon served on the coaching staff at Wesley (Del.) College from 2014-17, eventually rising to the position of associate head coach and recruiting coordinator. Seven times during Dixon’s tenure at Wesley did a Wolverine field hockey player earn All-Capital Athletic Conference honors. Prior to Wesley, Dixon was an assistant at Oberlin (Ohio) College and at Smith (Mass.) College.
Dixon holds Level II coaching certification from USA Field Hockey and has served in that organization’s Futures Program, rising to the position of head coach for the Delaware Region.
Dixon was a two-sport standout at Randolph-Macon College in Ashland, Va. She was a four-year starter in field hockey, scoring 30 career goals, and three times earned All-Old Dominion Athletic Conference honors. She was also a two-year starter on the lacrosse team.
Dixon earned a Bachelor’s of Science degree with a double major in biology and mathematics in 2009 from Randolph-Macon. She received her master’s in sport leadership from Wesley in 2017.
