Michele Savage joined the Central Michigan women’s basketball coaching staff as the associate head coach in May, 2021
Savage most recently served as an associate head coach for two seasons at Memphis and was the head coach at Davidson from 2010-17. Prior to her tenure at Davidson, Savage served for nine years as an assistant at Tulane along with stints at Cornell, Toledo and Chicago State.
An Illinois native, Savage was a three-time All-Big Ten selection at Northwestern, from which she graduated in 1993. She led the Wildcats in scoring for three seasons, was twice the team's top rebounder, and in 1991 earned All-America honors from Street & Smith’s. She helped lead the Wildcats to two NCAA Tournament berths and the Big Ten championship in 1990 and is a member of both the Northwestern and Illinois halls of fame.
