Wrestling Tabbed Fifth In Conference

MOUNT PLEASANT -- The Central Michigan wrestling team was picked to finish fifth in the conference according to the Mid-American Conference coaches' poll.

The top team is Kent State who received 36 points. Following Kent State were Buffalo (30), Northern Illinois (29), Ohio (18), Central Michigan (12) and Eastern Michigan (6).

Four Chippewa returning starters earned individual rankings. At 125, Ahmad Sanders (Flint/Sr.) is ranked third in the conference. Jordan Webster (Washington, Ill./So.) is fourth at 133. Russell Clark (Holt/So.) is third at 157 pounds and Jack Leffler (Morris, Ill./Jr.) is the second-ranked heavyweight.

The wrestling season starts November 18-19 when the defending MAC Champions participate in the Michigan State Open in Lansing.
