Wrestlers Beat Buffalo 26-12

BUFFALO, NY -- Central Michigan (7-4-1, 4-0 Mid-American) remained undefeated in conference action with a 26-12 win over Buffalo on Saturday afternoon.
The Chippewas won seven of 10 matches in the dual meet.
CMU's Phil Baroni opened the meet with a rideout overtime victory over Josh States at 184 pounds. The match was tied 1-1 after regulation and after neither wrestler scored in overtime, Baroni successfully rode States out for 30 seconds to claim the win.
The Chippewas won the next two matches before Ahmad Sanders claimed a 7-5 overtime win over Charlie Voorhees at 125 pounds to give the Chippewas a commanding 12-0 lead.
Chris Vike, beat Joe Downey, 5-3, at 197 pounds while Chris Marshall recorded a technical fall (17-2, 5:49) over Bill Jacoutot at 141 pounds.
Jeremy Hardman pinned Buffalo's Ryan Bentley at 149 pounds at 3:31 while Ryan Cunningham beat Ben Cooper by a 10-3 score.
The Chippewas wrap up the weekend road trip at Edinboro on Sunday, Feb. 13.
