Vike Named MAC Wrestler Of The Week

Mount Pleasant - Central Michigan University senior All-American Chris Vike (Stoughton, Wis.) was named the Mid-American Conference "Wrestler of the Week."

Vike placed third at the Reno Tournament of Champions last Sunday in the 197-pound bracket. He was 4-1 in the tournament with a pin and a major decision. His only loss was to No. 3-ranked Mark Munoz of Oklahoma State.

The Chippewas placed fourth in the tournament behind Oklahoma State, Nebraska and Arizona State.

Vike is currently ranked 16th in the country at 197 with a 6-2 record.
