MUNCIE, IN--The Central Michigan University women's basketball team (9-19) season came to an end with a 94-81 loss to Ball State University (16-12 overall) in the opening round of the MAC tournament on Monday night in University Arena.
The Cardinals move on to the second round of the tournament where they face the University of Toledo on March 2 at Public Hall in Cleveland, OH. The semifinals are March 3 while the finals are March 4.
The Chippewas fell for the second straight game to the Cardinals. Ball State won on Friday night in the regular-season finale in overtime, 92-86.
