Field Hockey Posts 3-1 Win Over St. Louis

KENT, OH--The Central Michigan University field hockey team (3-3 overall, 0-1 Mid-American Conference) posted a 3-1 win over Saint Louis University on Saturday afternoon at Kent, Ohio.
CMU got all the offensive fire power it needed from junior Melissa Lazarevski (Rochester, NY) who socred a hat trick. She scored the first two goals of the game to give CMU a 2-0 lead.
Saint Louis scored its lone goal in the first half to cut the CMU lead to 2-1 but Lazarevski scored an insurance goal in the second half to secure the win for CMU.
Chippewa goalie Janel Spero (Shoreham, NY/So.) made three saves in the win.
CMU next travels to Ball State on Sept. 23.
