Wrestlers Fall To Michigan State

EAST LANSING--The Central Michigan wrestling team fell to Michigan State University by a 21-12 count on Friday night at Jenison Fieldhouse.
Jack Leffler, Ahmad Sanders, Jason Mester, and Kevin Carr all posted wins for the Chippewas.
Leffler defeated MSU's Matt Lamb, who was ranked ninth in the nation, 3-1 in overtime at heavyweight while Sanders beat 10th-ranked Chris Williams, 8-2, at 125.
Mester posted a 7-5 win over ninth-ranked Mike Castillo at 141 and Carr beat Nate Mesys, 9-6, at 174.
CMU returns to Rose Arena on Sunday to host the Hampton Inn Duels. Central will wrestle The Citadel at noon, Findlay at 2 p.m., and No. 13 Edinboro at 4 p.m.
