Youth Athletes Receive Expert Instruction

MOUNT PLEASANT -- Day campers from around the region descended on Rose Arena to learn the fundamentals of basketball at a CMU youth basketball clinic on Nov. 1.

Boys and girls from grades 1-8 came to Rose Arena and spent a Saturday afternoon with CMU women's basketball coaches and players, learning the fundamentals of the sport. High school coaches from around the area also assisted in learning the 165 campers.

Campers were divided into stations by age and gender and spent the day working on jump shots, lay-ups, defensive slides, rebounding and post moves, among other fundamentals.
