Wrestler Earns MAC Academic Honor

Central Michigan University wrestler Jordan Webster was named the Mid-American Conference male "Scholar Athlete of the Week" today.

Webster helped the Chippewas to a 46-0 win over Princeton Sunday afternoon. He scored a major decision with a 14-6 win over Brian Kirschbaum. He had six takedowns in the competition. Webster currently ranks seventh nationally.

The MAC Scholar Athlete of the Week honor is presented to a MAC male and female student-athlete who has a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or better and performs well during that week's competition. The winners are selected by one of the conference's faculty athletic representatives.
