Bowling Green Rolls Past CMU, 3-0

MOUNT PLEASANT - The three-game streak continues for Central Michigan University as the Chippewas fell to Bowling Green 30-23, 30-26 and 30-21 on Friday night in Rose Arena.
The Chippewas have now played seven straight three-game matches. CMU drops to 5-16 overall, 2-8 in the MAC while the Falcons up their record to 13-8 overall, 6-3 in the MAC.
Taylor Twite scored a match-high 20 points to lead Bowling Green to the victory. She had 18 kills, a block solo and two assists, and a service ace. Melissa Mohr added nine kills and four block assists for the Falcons.
Emily Lovejoy was the lone Chippewa in double figures with 14 kills, 13 digs and a block solo. Meghan Moore added nine kills and five total blocks while Aislinn Hayes and Melanie Klein each had eight kills. Klein also tallied four total blocks.
CMU outblocked the Falcons, 10-7, but BGSU hit .263 for the match compared to CMU's .173.
Ali McCrite posted a match-high 16 digs while Jaimeson Whitman tallied 38 assists.
The Chippewas host Toledo on Saturday night at 7 p.m.
