David Bolyard to Compete in NWCA All-Star Classic

Senior David Bolyard has been invited to compete in the National Wrestling Coaches Association Marines All-Star Classic on Nov. 22.
The event will take place at SIU-Edwardsville in the Vadalabene Center at 7:00 p.m.
Bolyard, ranked No. 2 at 165 pounds, will face top-ranked and returning national champion Troy Letters of Lehigh. Bolyard lost 4-2 in overtime to Letters last season. Bolyard, an Akron, Ohio native, finished sixth at the 2004 NCAA Championships to earn All-America honors for the first time.
The Marines All-Star Classic brings together two of the top wrestlers in each weight class. The last CMU wrestler to compete in the classic was Casey Cunningham in 1999.

Eastern Michigan Open Results:
A group of CMU wrestlers competed in the EMU Open last weekend.
Winning the tournament was 157-pounder Eric Neil. Neil, a redshirt freshman, went 6-0 to take the title. Taking second were Matt Steintrager, wrestling unattached at 125, and redshirt freshman heavyweight Bubba Gritter.
Taking third in the tournament were: sophomore Andy Keller at 157; redshirt freshman Brandon Carter at 141; redshirt freshman Wynn Michalak at 197; and redshirt freshman Ben Kelto at 184. True freshman Justin Petrone took sixth at 174 wrestling unattached as did sophomore Josh Hildebrand at 197.
Wrestling Room Improvements:
CMU is in the process of upgrading its current wrestling room and locker room facilities.
The wrestling room is being expanded by an additional 2,250 square feet, making the room a total of 6,525 square feet.
The Michigan Wrestling Coaches Hall of Fame will be moved into the wrestling room along with trophy cases to display CMU's MAC Championship awards. Action photos of all past All-Americans and National Champions will be displayed in the locker room.

Ride With the Team:
During the 2004-2005 season, CMU wrestling will be offering the opportunity for fans to ride the team bus.
The Chippewas plan to sell a limited number of seats to fans interested in traveling to the Midlands (Evanston, Ill.), the MAC Championships (Kent, Ohio), and the NCAA Championships (St. Louis, Mo.).

NCAA Championships Tickets:
Tickets to the 2005 NCAA Championships are now available at the CMU ticket office.

There are currently 100 reserved tickets that will cost between $100-$130 depending on where they will be located. These tickets will be in a seating block together and you can reserve them as early as you would like.
Post-Match Get Together:
Following each CMU home meet, the Chippewas will be holding a post-match get together at O'Kelly's Sports Bar & Grill.
The gathering is a time socialize with one another and review the match on the big screens. Fans are encouraged to head over and continue to support the Chippewa wrestling program. It is a great opportunity to get to know the team and coaches along with one another.
