It was the first-ever outdoor title for the Chippewa women. They won the indoor title for the second time in three years in March.
CMU used a complete team effort in narrowly edging out host Miami 112-107.5. Only three Chippewas managed an individual title.
Jackie Bozin and Fallon Bailey were CMU's lone winners on Saturday afternoon. Bozin took the top spot in the high jump with a leap of 5-7 ? while Bailey grabbed first in the 100m dash with a time of 11.89.
