Bobcats Roll Past Volleyball, 3-0

ATHENS, Ohio - The Ohio volleyball team showed why its ranked 20th in the nation on Saturday night as it rolled past Central Michigan University, 3-0 (30-15, 30-15, 30-21).
The Chippewas fall to 3-21 overall, 0-14 in the Mid-American Conference. OU improves to 24-2, 14-0 in the MAC while also stretching its nation's-best home winning streak to 37 matches.
Erika Neumann was the lone CMU player in finish with double-digit kills as she tallied 11 in the match. She also hit a team-high .182. Courtney Kersten tallied 21 assists and Ali McCrite had a team-high eight digs.
Stephanie Blackburn and Melissa Griffin both tallied 12 kills to lead the OU offense. Jill DeArmond had 21 assists and Michaele Blackburn recorded 17 digs to lead the Bobcat defense.
OU more than doubled-up CMU in kills, 54-26, and outhit the Chippewas, .387-.068. Ohio also had more digs, 46-30, and blocks, 6-4.
The Chippewas wrap up the regular season with a pair of home matches next weekend. CMU hosts Toledo on Friday, Nov. 11, beginning at 7 p.m. The Maroon and Gold then finish the regular season with Ball State on Saturday, Nov. 12, at 7 p.m.
