MT PLEASANT--The Len Paddock Relays will be the last meet before the Central Michigan University women's track team will go to Ohio for the Mid-American Conference outdoor championships.
"This will be our last tune-up," said coach Karen Lutzke. "Some people will compete in a few events, some only one, and some won't compete at all. Some of the athletes will be graduating, and those who aren't will be focusing on their individual events."
The Chippewas are coming off of a weekend where they not only set two Hillsdale track records, but two school records as well.
"I was very pleased with the way we performed," said Lutzke. "This was a step forward toward the MAC Championship. Not only did we have two relay records broken, we also had three individual first-place finishes. We really went out there and competed as a team."
The Len Paddock Relays will take place in Ann Arbor this Friday and Saturday, May 6-7. Events will begin on Friday at 10 a.m., and Saturday at 11 a.m.
