Kiesler Named Women's Track Assistant Coach

MOUNT PLEASANT Central Michigan University women’s track and field coach Karen Lutzke has announced the hiring of Adam Kiesler as an assistant coach.
“We’re excited to bring him on board as a member of our coaching staff,” Lutzke said. “It’s a difficult situation to bring a coach in during a season, but he’s done a great job. He’s enthusiastic and knowledgeable, and has a great passion for coaching the sport of track and field.”
Kiesler had been serving as a volunteer assistant coach at the University of Michigan prior to coming to CMU. He competed for the Wolverines from 2002-07 in both the long jump and multi-events and graduated from U-M last April with a degree in Earth Sciences.
The Rochester, Michigan native earned his USA Track and Field Level One certification during his time at Michigan. At CMU, he will work primarily with the jumpers and multi-event competitors while assisting with sprints and hurdles.
CMU continues its 2008 indoor season when it hosts the Chippewa Open at the Jack Skoog Track this Friday, Jan. 11, at 5 p.m.
