With the game tied at four, CMU went on a 20-point run to blow the game open and never looked back. The Chippewas held a 61-25 edge at the break, and outscored the Mustangs 56-23 over the final 20 minutes.
CMU won the battle on the glass, 56-30, and forced 24 MC turnovers. The Chippewas finished with 23 assists while holding the Mustangs to four. Central also finished with seven blocks while holding Marygrove to just 25 percent from the field.
The Chippewas were also able to get to the basket, outscoring the Mustangs 62-32 in the paint, while racking up 22 fast break points.
