Take a Stand
With Christian Sinnott and Wynn Michalak ensuring themselves of All-America honors, this will mark the fifth straight year that CMU has placed multiple All-Americans on the medal stand.
Michalak Makes More History
Wynn Michalak is just the third three-time All-American in CMU history. He joins John Rollins (1959, 1960, 1961) and Ryan Cunningham (1998, 1999, 2000) in the exclusive club.
No. 100 for Christian
Christian Sinnott’s victory in the quarterfinals was his 100th career win. He is the fifth Chippewa to join the 100-win club this season. Wynn Michalak, Brandon Sinnott, Luke Smith and Bubba Gritter also claim at least 100 career wins.
Stayin’ Alive
CMU enters the fourth session of the tournament with six individuals still competing. The Chippewas are one of four teams with at least six individuals still alive in the tourney.
Smith Bows Out
Senior Luke Smith’s collegiate career came to an end when he was defeated by Bloomsburg’s Michael Sees Friday afternoon. Smith, a two-time Mid-American Conference champion and four-time national qualifier, concludes his career with an overall record of 106-44.
