Track and Field Starts Season at Saginaw Valley

MOUNT PLEASANT-The Central Michigan track and field program will open up their indoor season as they head to Saginaw Valley
State University Friday.
CMU will compete in their first meet of the 2009-2010 track and field season under new head coach Willie Randolph and staff.
“We are excited for track and field season to be here,” Randolph said. “We are ready to get out there and compete.”
The Chippewas will compete in the non-scoring SVSU Holiday Meet Friday, with the meet begining at 3 p.m.
The men’s team is coming off a fourth place finish at both the indoor and outdoor Mid-American Conference Championships last season. The women finished the 2008-2009 track and field season with a seventh-place finish indoors and a 10th-place finish outdoors.

Cross Country Wrap Up- The CMU cross country program finished their 2009 season with some stong efforts. The men’s team took
3rd place at the MAC Championships and 11th at the Great Lakes Regional meet, the women’s team finished 4th in the MAC and
pulled a strong 9th place finish at the Great Lakes Regional meet.
MAC Warm Up- The Chippewas will have a chance to compete in seven non-scoring meet before the Mid-American Conference Championships February 26-27.
Got ‘em at Home- The CMU track and field program will host four indoor meets this season, including the MAC Championships (Feb. 26-
27).
