Chippewas Ranked Sixth in InterMat Preseason Poll

InterMat's 2010 Preseason Team and Individual Rankings

MOUNT PLEASANT - Central Michigan is ranked sixth in InterMat's preseason team tournament strength rankings.

The team rankings are based on InterMat's individual weight class rankings. Four Chippewas are ranked in the top nationally in their respective weight classes.

Each of the four ranked Chippewas is a returning All-American. Junior Scotti Sentes is ranked seventh at 133 pounds, senior Mike Miller is third at 165 pounds, sophomore Ben Bennett is fourth at 174 pounds and junior Jarod Trice is ranked second at heavyweight.

CMU hosts its intrasquad meet Tuesday, Nov. 2. The Chippewas open the season at the Eastern Michigan Open on Nov. 6, and the first dual meet of the season is Nov. 19 at No. 1 Cornell.
