MAC Announces November Weight Class Rankings

MOUNT PLEASANT - Four Central Michigan wrestlers are ranked at the top of their weight class in this month's Mid-American Conference coaches' rankings.

Scotti Sentes (133 pounds), Mike Miller (165), Ben Bennett (174) and Jarod Trice (285) each are ranked No. 1 in their respective weight classes. Each of the four is a returning All-American.

A Chippewa is ranked in the top four in nine of the 10 weight classes. Ranked third are Christian Cullinan (125) and Eric Cubberly (157). Checking in at fourth are Donnie Corby (149), Chad Friend (184) and Craig Kelliher (197).

CMU is second in the team rankings, determined by a points system based on the individual rankings. Kent State is first with 23.5 points, while CMU is just behind with 23 points.

The Chippewas open the dual meet season next Friday, Nov. 19, when they visit No. 1 Cornell. CMU will remain in New York to compete in the Body Bar Invitational the following day.
