STORYLINES
...Shonda Long needs just 31 points to join CMU's 1,000 point club and Kaihla Szunko sits just 149 away.
...Shonda Long has 160 career threes, sitting just 32 shy of breaking CMU's program record of 191 by Molli Munz (1999-02). Long is 11 behind Angel Chan (2006-09), who sits in second with 171.
...Kaihla Szunko has a double-double in each of her first two games in 2010-11.
...CMU is looking for its third-consecutive 100-point scoring effort to open the season.

STORYLINES
Six Pack -- Six players scored in double-figures for the Chippewas against Belmont, the fourth time its happened during head coach Sue Guevara’s tenure. The Chippewas had six players reach double-figures in the same game once last season and twice in 2008-09. The occurrences were the first since 2003. Six players have reached double-figures in the same game seven times in CMU history.
Scouting the Opponents -- Northern Colorado is picked to finish eighth in the Big Sky Conference, while No. 22/24 Iowa is tabbed second in the Big Ten preseason poll. Northeastern was predicted to finish 12th in the Colonial Athletic Association.
“C” Notes -- The Chippewas set their program record for points scored with 119 against North Carolina A&T in the 2010-11 season opener. The Maroon and Gold have 12 100-point contests in their history, including four during Guevara’s tenure.
I remember You.... -- During head coach Sue Guevara’s time at Michigan, she faced Iowa head coach Lisa Bluder five times. Guevara was 3-2 against Bluder during her tenure, including a 1-1 mark in Iowa City.
100 or Bust -- CMU scored 100 points in back-to-back games for the first time in program history during the Winthrop Classic.
Bench Mark -- Jalisa Olive’s 32 points against North Carolina A&T were the most a player has scored as a reserve in CMU history.
