Imbrock Makes NCAA Prelims Debut on Day Two

MOUNT PLEASANT — Mykal Imbrock was the lone representative of the Central Michigan track and field program on day two of the NCAA East Region Prelims on Friday.
 
The junior thrower competed in the hammer throw, where she finished tied for 23rd with a throw of 177-10, bringing her outdoor season to a close. She set a new career-best in 2010 with a throw of 183-2 at the Len Paddock Invitational on May 7.
 
Two more Chippewa athletes remain in the competition in senior Greg Pilling and freshman Alex Rose. The duo will compete in the discus on Saturday at 9:30 a.m.
