MOUNT PLEASANT - Central Michigan's wrestling program officially began its 21st season under the direction of head coach Tom Borrelli this week.

The Chippewas held their first official week of practices in advance of their intrasquad meet on Thursday, Nov. 3. CMU opens the season at the Michigan State Open on Nov. 12, then travels to Chattanooga, Tenn. for duals against both Chattanooga and Stanford on Nov. 20.

CMU's home opener is Dec. 2 against Minnesota. The Chippewas open Mid-American Conference competition the following night against Ohio at McGuirk Arena.

Nine lettermen and seven starters return from last season's squad that shared the MAC regular season and won a 10th straight conference tournament title.
