Chippewas Picked Second in MAC Preseason Poll

The Chippewas (20-11, 11-5 MAC in 2010-11) were selected behind only Toledo, the 2011 WNIT champions. Toledo also was voted as the favorite to win the 2012 MAC Tournament. Following the Chippewas are Eastern Michigan, Northern Illinois, Ball State and Western Michigan.
The 2011 MAC Tournament champion, Bowling Green, was picked to finish first in the East Division.
The Maroon and Gold also had two players selected to the West Division preseason All-MAC team: 2010-11 honorable mention All-MAC player Brandie Baker and 2010-11 MAC Freshman of the Year Niki DiGuilio.
