Northern Illinois 59, CMU 45
The loss to the Huskies snapped CMU's four-game winning streak and a three-game winning streak against NIU.
The 45 points CMU scored is the first time Central Michigan has been held under 60 all season, and the fewest points since Nov. 20, 2007 when the Chippewas managed just 41 tallies against No. 23 Notre Dame.
CMU shot just 27 percent against NIU, its lowest mark of 2010-11. Its previous low was 31.3 percent against Bowling Green on Jan. 22.
The 59 points allowed is the fewest CMU has given up this season, but marks Central Michigan's first loss when giving up fewer than 80 points in 2010-11.
CMU used the same starting lineup for the 24th consecutive contest.
