Shonda Long (510 points) and Kaihla Szunko (482) tied CMU's program record for points scored by two players in a season with 992, equaling the mark set by Britni Houghton (533) and Angel Chan (459). They are just the third duo in program history to each score at least 450 points in a season.
CMU used the same starting lineup (Brandie Baker , Shonda Long , Niki DiGuilio , Skylar Miller and Kaihla Szunko ) in every game this season.
Thursday's loss to Illinois State marked just the second when CMU held its opponents under 80 points this season (16-2).
The 15 made free throws by Taylor Johnson are the second-most in a single game in CMU history. The program record of 16 is held by Britni Houghton vs. Louisville (12/2/09).
Shonda Long finishes her career ranked sixth in program history in scoring (1,439), 10th in scoring average (11.8) and first in three-pointers made (230).
Kaihla Szunko finishes her career ranked ninth in program history in scoring (1,292), third in rebounding (1,009), third in steals (233), eighth in field goals made (512), sixth in blocks (80) and 10th in made free throws (253). She finished her career with 43 double-doubles. She also ranks second in field goal percentage (53.7) and fifth in rebounding average (8.5). Her total rebounds ranks sixth in MAC history.
Brandie Baker broke her own record for minutes played in a season, set during her freshman campaign with 1,111, taking the floor for 1,144 minutes this season.
Shonda Long 's 510 points this season ranks third on CMU's single-season chart and her 78 three-pointers made rank second.
Kaihla Szunko 's 343 rebounds are the second-most in a season in program history, her 77 steals rank fifth and her 195 field goals rank fourth.
Brandie Baker tied the program record with 156 assists this season, equaling Suzy Merchant's 1990-91 campaign. She also checked in at No. 7 on the free throws made chart with 109.
Head coach Sue Guevara is now 56-66 in her four seasons at CMU, including a 30-33 mark in MAC play.
