Chippewas Complete Day One at Len Paddock

Day One Results: Women | Men
ANN ARBOR - Several members of Central Michigan's track and field team competed at the University of Michigan's Len Paddock Invitational Friday.
Freshman Kyle Smith turned in the top performance for the Chippewas, winning the javelin with a mark of 185-5.
Senior Mykal Imbrock boasted the top women's finish of the day, claiming second place in the hammer throw with a mark of 179-9.
Junior Andrea Pawlowski improved her career best time in the 400m hurdles to 1:04.74 which earned her fifth place. Also placing fifth was Nick Rainey in the men's javelin with a mark of 143-1.
Pole vaulter Kelly Morrissey tied her season-high mark of 10-6 to claim sixth place. On the men's side, sixth-place finishes went to Calvin Jackson (154-4 in the hammer) and Joseph Jankowski (15-5 in the pole vault). Jankowski's mark was a season-best.
The Len Paddock Invitational will continue tomorrow morning. Results will be available on cmuchippewas.com following the conclusion of the meet.
