With the loss, the Chippewas are now 2-5 in MAC Championship games.
Head coach Sue Guevara is now 7-5 during MAC Tournament play. The Chippewas are 19-27 all-time and 5-6 at The Q. They finished this year as the only team in MAC history to play in five MAC Tournament games (due to the new structure).
Crystal Bradford, Taylor Johnson and Jas'Mine Bracey were all named to the All-Tournament Team. This is the first time since 2007 that there were three players from the same team named to the All-Tournament Team.
The Maroon and Gold broke many MAC Tournament records both as a team and as individuals. They set the record for most points scored (362), most field goals made (149), and field goals attempted (347).
Crystal Bradford set the tournament record for most field goals made (36), field goals attempted (80), and rebounds (53).
Brandie Baker is now seven points shy from 1,000, after scoring 10 today.
CMU finished the game shooting 50.9 percent from the floor, its third-highest percentage of the season. It also finished the game 36.4 percent from behind the arc, the highest percentage in eight games.
As a team the Maroon and Gold had a season-high 24 assists.
For the 13th time this season four or more players scored in double figures for CMU (Johnson, Green, Baker and Bradford).
Taylor Johnson dished out a career-high seven assists. She also tied her season-high point total of 20, going 4-for-7 from long range.
For the second-straight game CMU was held under 10 attempts from the free throw line.
Central held Eastern Michigan to just one three-point field goal in the season, marking the fewest made treys by an opponent this season.
