
Field Hockey Falls to 16th-Ranked Iowa

IOWA CITY, Iowa - The Central Michigan field hockey team lost its eighth straight game, 11-0, Friday against a 16th-ranked Iowa at the Hawkeyes' Grant Field.
The Chippewas (1-11) were limited to just two shots in the game. The Hawkeyes (8-5) also held a 13-1 advantage in corners. Iowa led, 8-0, at halftime.
Lily Amadio and Abigail Ebersole split time in goal for the Chippewas and combined to record six saves.
Chandler Ackers scored three goals on six shots.
Central Michigan will face UC Davis (3-8) on Saturday at 2 p.m. in Iowa City. CMU's next Mid-American Conference matchup will be against Missouri State in Springfield, Mo., on Oct. 15.
