Chippewa Field Hockey Falls to UC Davis

IOWA CITY, Iowa - Farah Farjood scored midway through the first half Saturday as UC Davis handed Central Michigan a 1-0 loss in a non-conference field hockey game at Iowa's Grant Field.
The loss was CMU's ninth consecutive. The Chippewas (1-12) return to Mid-American Conference play on Saturday, Oct. 15, at Missouri State.
The Aggies (4-8) outshot the Chippewas, 19-6, and held an 11-2 edge in corners.
CMU's Maude Stalars and Grace Forthaus recorded two shots apiece. UC Davis finished with six shots on goal to the Chippewas' four.
Lily Amadio made four saves in goal for CMU.
