• The Chippewas and Cardinals are tied atop the MAC West, with Northern Illinois, which plays at Kent State on Wednesday.
• CMU has won three consecutive games, all in impressive fashion, topped by Saturday's 88-71 victory at McGuirk Arena over defending MAC champion Buffalo.
• CMU is ranked 19th in the CollegeInsider.com Mid-Major Top 25 poll. Two MAC teams, Ohio (No. 8) and Buffalo (No. 12) are ranked ahead of the Chippewas.
• CMU guard Presley Hudson was named on Tuesday the MAC West Player of the Week for the second-consecutive week.
• The Chippewas rank second in the MAC in scoring at 74.5 points per game. Ball State is second in points allowed (57.7).
• Ball State enters Wednesday's game on a four-game win streak. The Cardinals topped Western Michigan, 61-56, on Saturday in Kalamazoo, ending the Broncos' win streak at 10 games.
• Ball State's Renee Bennett and Moriah Monaco rank 10th and 11th, respectively in the MAC in scoring. Bennett averages 15.9 points per game, Monaco 15-3.
• Ball State guard Carmen Grande leads the league in assists per game (7.3).
