• The Chippewas enter the game with revenge on their minds after having lost on an overtime buzzer-beater to the Bulls in the 2016 MAC Tournament championship game.
• CMU is coming off an 89-62 victory over Akron.
• CMU sophomore guard Presley Hudson scored 35 points against the Zips. In her previous game, Hudson scored a career-high 36 points in a 91-78 win over Kent State.
• In those two games, Hudson has made 25 of her 37 field goal attempts (67.5 percent) overall and 14 of her 20 3-point tries (70 percent).
• CMU junior forward Tinara Moore scored a season-high 29 points in the win over Akron, teaming with Hudson for 64 points.
• Buffalo was picked to win finish second behind Ohio in the MAC East preseason poll. JoAnna Smith is the lone Bull who scores in double figures (13.8) points per game.
• Buffalo is holding opponents to a MAC-best 57.2 points per game.
