
CMU Wrestling Unveils 2017 Camp Schedule

The Central Michigan wrestling program has announced its 2017 Summer Camp schedule.
The Individual Technique Camp is scheduled for Sunday-Wednesday, June 18-21; the High Intensity Camp is slated for Sunday-Friday, June 18-23; and the Team Camp is set for Sunday-Wednesday, July 9-12.
Costs range from $265-$470.
The Individual Technique Camp comprises 10 two-hour instruction sessions, the High Intensity Camp is designed for attendees to fully experience the nationally ranked CMU program including conditioning, technique, drills, analysis, top-notch competition and live wrestling; the Team Camp provides up to 10 dual meets, pre-meet instruction, more than 10 hours of technique instruction with an emphasis on the team experience and technical adjustments from meet to meet.
Individuals may attend Team Camp and will be placed with a team.
The camps are led by Central Michigan coach Tom Borrelli and two of his assistant coaches, four-time All-American and four-time MAC champion Ben Bennett and Ryan Cubberly, both of whom are former standout wrestlers at CMU.
Borrelli has led the Chippewas to a combined 27 MAC team championships, has coached 40 All-American wrestlers at CMU, has been named the league coach of the year a dozen times, in 2004 received the Bob Bubb Coaching Excellence Award from the National Wrestling Coaches Association, and in 1998 was named the NCAA National Coach of the Year.
