Chippewa Bats Come Alive; CMU Snaps Losing Streak

PORT CHARLOTTE, Fla. - David Cole matched his career-high with four hits and Colton Bradley pitched 4 2/3 solid innings in relief Tuesday as the Central Michigan baseball team snapped a three-game losing streak with a 15-5 victory over Baldwin Wallace at North Charlotte Regional Park.
The Chippewas (4-7) continue their Spring Break trip on Wednesday (2:30 p.m.) with a game against Georgetown.
The Chippewas collected 14 hits against five BWU pitchers and scored at least one run in seven of their eight turns at bat.
Nick Stokowski and Reed Adams collected two hits apiece for CMU. Alex Borglin and Jason Sullivan each drove in three runs, while Daniel Robinson, Stokowski, Daniel Jipping and Cole had two RBI apiece.
Bradley (2-0) allowed one run on two hits and struck out two. He relieved sophomore starter Jack Collins, who surrendered three runs on two hits while walking two and striking out one over 2 1/3 innings in his first start of the season.
Cameron Brown, another freshman, went the final two innings on the mound for the Chippewas. He yielded one run on four hits while striking out one.
