Chippewas Go To Michigan For Final Dual

The Central Michigan wrestling team will close the regular season on Sunday with a nonconference dual at Michigan. The meet gets underway at 2 p.m. at Michigan's Cliff Keen Arena.
RECORDS/RANKINGS
The Chippewas are 8-5 in duals and ranked 20th by the National Wrestling Coaches Association. The fourth-ranked Wolverines are 10-3.
LAST TIME OUT
The Chippewas lost at Kent State, 21-13, on Sunday in their final Mid-American Conference dual of the season. CMU finshed 5-2 in the MAC. Michigan fell to No. 2 Ohio State, 18-15, on Sunday. The Wolverines' other two dual losses have come to No. 1 Penn State and No. 10 Lehigh.
RANKINGS
Four Chippewas are ranked in the top 20 of their respective weight classes this week by InterMat.com. Junior Justin Oliver is fourth at 149 pounds, sophomore Mason Smith is 10th at 141, senior CJ Brucki is 14th at 174, and senior Jordan Ellingwood is 15th at 184.
For Michigan, freshman Drew Mattin (125) is ranked 12th, Stevan Micic (133) is second, Malik Amine (149) is 20th, Alec Panteleo (157) is sixth, Logan Massa (165) is eighth, Myles Amine (174) is fifth, Domenic Abounader (184) is fifth, Kevin Beazley (197) is 12th, and Adam Coon (285) is first.
NEXT
The Chippewas are off next weekend and then will host the Mid-American Conference Championships at McGuirk Arena on Saturday and Sunday, March 3-4.
