MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. - Central Michigan's Presley Hudson was named the Mid-American Conference West Division Player of the Week for women's basketball.
It is the second-consecutive week that Hudson, a junior guard from Wayland, has been so honored.
Hudson averaged 20 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists as the Chippewas posted come-from-behind victories over Ball State and over Toledo to wrap up their second-consecutive regular-season MAC championship.
Hudson scored 26 points, grabbed nine rebounds and dished out five assists in 40 minutes to spark the Chippewas to an 88-80 win over Ball State in CMU's home finale. She had 14 points, nine assists and seven rebounds as the Chippewas rallied from a nine-point halftime deficit to beat Toledo, 72-67, in the regular-season finale on Saturday.
Hudson ranks second on the team in scoring at 18.6 points per game. She has made 46.6 percent of her 3-point tries on the season.
Hudson is the third Chippewa to have earned multiple player of the week honors from the MAC this season. Tinara Moore has earned the MAC West Player of the Week Award three times, and Reyna Frost has twice been so honored.
The Chippewas, who are 25-4 and finished 17-1 in MAC play, open the MAC Tournament at Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland at noon on Wednesday against either Eastern Michigan or Northern Illinois.
