Another Week, Another Honor For CMU's Frost

Chippewa forward tagged as best in the west for third consecutive week
MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. – It's Reynin' accolades.
Central Michigan's Reyna Frost was named the Mid-American Conference West Division Player of the Week for women's basketball for the third consecutive week.
Frost, a 6-foot senior forward from Reese, became the all-time career rebounding leader in MAC history on Saturday as the Chippewas opened league play with a 94-71 home victory over Akron.
Frost finished the game with a career-high 31 points and added 10 rebounds for her 11th double-double of the season and seventh consecutive. She made 11 of her 17 field goal attempts (64.7 percent) and also dished out six assists.
Frost surpassed the previous career record holder, Caroline Mast of Ohio. Mast hauled down 1,223 boards from 1983-86.
It marks the fourth time this season that Frost has earned the West Player of the Week Award.
The Chippewas (10-3, 1-0 MAC) play at Ohio (12-0, 1-0) on Wednesday in a conference game.
