Hildebrandt Earns Weekly MAC Award

MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. -- Central Michigan's Drew Hildebrandt was named the Mid-American Conference West Division Wrestler of the Week after going 3-0 to win the 125-pound weight class on Sunday in the Black Knight Invitational, hosted by Army in West Point, N.Y.

Hildebrandt, a junior from Granger, Ind., improved to 10-1 on the season and rank his win streak to six consecutive matches. He did not allow a point in his first two victories, an 8-0 major decision over Brandon Meredith of Penn State and a 6-0 decision over Brody Teske, also of Penn State. Hildebrandt then defeated Trey Chalifoux of Army, 7-5, in the final.

Hildebrandt is ranked ninth nationally by flowrestling.org.

CMU goes to Michigan for its first dual meet of the season on Sunday, Nov. 24.
