Kelly Repeats As MAC West Player Of The Week

MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. – Central Michigan's Micaela Kelly was named the Mid-American Conference West Division Player of the Week for women's basketball.
Kelly, a junior guard from Detroit, scored 23 points in leading the Chippewas to their sixth-consecutive victory, a 65-47 nonconference win at Oakland. It marks the second-consecutive week that Kelly has been so honored.
Kelly made nine of her 11 field goal attempts including both of her 3-point tries. Kelly ranks second in the MAC and sixth nationally in scoring, averaging 22.7 points per game. She is fourth in the league in field goal percentage (.473) and 3-point percentage (.417).
The Chippewas (6-3) play at Bethune-Cookman in Daytona Beach, Fla. on Saturday (2 p.m.).
