The Chippewas opened on Saturday with a 5-0 loss to Iowa. CMU (3-11) is scheduled to play its next three games on its spring break trip against Quinnipiac, the first on Sunday (11:30 a.m.) and the final two in a doubleheader on Monday (10 a.m.).

Vs. St. Bonaventure
After being shut out in their first game, against Iowa, the Chippewas struck for a run in the first inning against St. Bonaventure when Kelsey Alexander doubled, took third on a Tala Dean infield single, and scored on a Shannon Stein sacrifice fly.
"After not being able to push a run across in the first game, it was great to see our team bounce back and score in inning one of game two." CMU coach McCall Salmon said.
Gardner led off the third with her second homer of the season, and CMU extended its lead to 4-0 with two runs in the fourth. Shaidan Knapp bunted her way on to lead off the inning and later scored on an error. Gardner then singled in a run.
"Hits are contagious, and Morgan was a big spark for our offense all day." Salmon said.
Bella Robles finished with three hits to lead the Chippewas at the plate, while Morgan, Dean and Knapp had two each.
