Field Hockey Falls In Double OT

MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. – The Central Michigan field hockey team fell in a 2-1 double overtime thriller to Ohio in a Mid-American Conference game on Friday at Cristy Freese Field.
The Chippewas fell to 3-10, 1-4 MAC; the Bobcats are 6-9, 3-2.
The Chippewas trailed, 1-0, until Allaura Bohan scored off her own rebound with under five minutes remaining in regulation to send the game to overtime. It was Bohan's second goal of the season and of her career.
Ohio scored 20 seconds into the second overtime to end the game.
Ohio finished a 20-7 advantage in shots including a 13-2 edge in shots on goal. The Bobcats also had a 9-5 edge in penalty corners.
CMU goalkeeper Katie Maxim recorded 11 saves.
The Chippewas go to Bellarmine on Friday, Oct. 22 (1 pm.) for a MAC match.
