Simon Earns Weekly MAC Award

MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. -- Central Michigan's Dresden Simon was named the co-Mid-American Conference Wrestler of the Week for his 10-8 victory over Rider's Quinn Kinner in the Chippewas 24-12 dual-meet win last week.

Simon, a graduate student from Dansville, fell behind, 6-0, in the first period and still trailed, 7-2, entering the third of the 141-pound bout.

He recorded two takedowns and a four-point near fall in the final two minutes in posting the win over the 22nd-ranked Kinner. Simon, who is ranked eighth nationally by Intermat, improved to 5-0 on the season.
